About Syslee Rawlinson
Raised in rural Southern Oregon, Rawlinson’s work is rooted in a deep reverence for the natural world. Drawn to the quiet textures of clay plaster, she began creating mixed-media works that merge natural materials—clay, pigments, mica, snake shed, and dried plants—into layered, tactile compositions. Her pieces evoke the slow rhythms of time and weather, inviting a closer look at nature’s delicate balance and the beauty in impermanence. Rawlinson lives and works in Oakland, California.
