Store Manager (full-time) - Berkeley, CA

We are seeking an experienced full-time Store Manager to serve as a multifaceted leadership figure for the Berkeley Fourth Street store location. As a store manager, your primary responsibilities include the following:

- Serving as the leader of the store team; setting the tone for a warm, welcoming, consistent customer experience and a positive, inclusive employee culture.
- Drive successful store sales performance at or above monthly and annual company targets; optimized performance by working with Studio Team to implement strategies that expand business including initiatives related to product and category focuses, product knowledge, top customer growth, store events and targeted traffic driving initiatives.
- Maintain exceptional operational standards, including store opening-closing procedures and paying immaculate attention to details in inventory related matters, such as regular in-store physical inventory counts, inventory transfers, exchanges, stock balance and stock returns to the Erica Tanov Studio location.
- Proactively manage store stock levels with regular replenishment from available stock at Studio location.
- Ensure the store team is effectively communicating the Erica Tanov brand to clients, demonstrating thorough knowledge of both fashion and home components of the brand and welcoming clients to visit our ecommerce store, our Instagram, and our Pinterest boards.
- Participate in and contribute to weekly manager meetings to discuss current business strengths and weaknesses and review store and ecommerce initiatives; ensure preparation for calls and meetings includes thoughtful analysis of current business including assessment of opportunities and challenges in appropriate sales channels.
- Regularly connect with Ecommerce and Marketing Team to stay up-to-date on online strategies and campaigns.
- Collaborate with the Studio Team on merchandise and stock procedures; follow through with strategic initiatives related to new product launches.
- Maintain consistent back of house processes for store to track performance toward weekly and monthly store goals and hold sales associates accountable for specific contributions.
- Ensure ecommerce orders fulfilled from store stock are prepared for the Ecommerce Team in a timely and accurate manner.
- Ensure store adheres to Erica Tanov policies and procedures related to customer service, selling strategies, back of house operations and product knowledge review of information provided by Studio Team.
- Evaluate store associate performance and provide regular and appropriate feedback.
- Manage staffing calendar; ensure schedule provides required coverage.
- Anticipate hiring needs and ensure recruitment of best profiles for store.
- Provide thorough, consistent training of team members and ensure seamless onboarding process for new associates.
- Provide input to the Buying Team on client product feedback and store buy requests.
- Collaborate and support Events Director with producing in-store events.
- Maintain store display and organization according to Erica Tanov brand aesthetic strategy and Merchandising Manager direction; coordinate with Merchandising Manager to ensure staff is available to assist with large scale product launch operations.

Preferred Skills:

- Minimum of four (4) years of experience in retail sales; managerial experience strongly preferred.
- Available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends and particularly holidays.
- Available to transfer stock from Studio Location to Berkeley Store with a car on a weekly basis.
- Knowledge of retail industry operations and facility with POS software (Shopify experience is a plus).

Fulfillment Associate (Part-time) - Berkeley, CA

We are seeking a part-time fulfillment associate for our Berkeley studio. This position will require a car. As a fulfillment associate, you will help create an exceptional experience for our customers from the minute they place their online order to the moment they open their package. Beyond order fulfillment, you will provide support to the management team in day-to-day operations. Your work will be crucial in helping the company build positive relationships with our customers, ultimately ensuring repeat business and the growth of the brand. The schedule for this position is three 5 hour weekday shifts, for a total of 15 hours per week. Some flexibility is preferred, and there is the potential for growth within the position.

Key job responsibilities will include:

- Completing all steps in the fulfillment process, including picking merchandise, preparing paperwork, packing orders, creating shipping labels and documentation, and facilitating in-store order pickups, all in a timely fashion.
- Transporting goods locally with your own car. (Company mileage reimbursement program is in place.)
- Receiving mail and coordinating outgoing shipments with carriers.
- Processing returns and exchanges.
- Tracking packaging supply levels.
- Assisting with inventory organization.
- Providing customer service on occasion.
- Assisting with studio projects.
