SF Design Week | Atelier Talk and Tour with Erica Tanov
Moderated by esteemed design writer Diane Dorrans Saeks
Friday, June 6th
6 PM — 8 PM
Erica Tanov Atelier
1808 Fifth Street
Berkeley, CA
You are invited into the tactile, poetic world of designer Erica Tanov. Celebrating the timeless elegance and personal artistry of Erica’s work, the evening offers a rare opportunity to tour the designer’s studio housed in an 1878 Italianate Victorian, and hear directly from the designer about her creative and collaborative process, her deep love of textiles—from the fine to the raw, hand loomed and printed to embroidered—and the lasting beauty she brings to every piece. Erica will be joined in conversation by Aarika Solanki, her lead workshop collaborator in India, who will be visiting from Jaipur.
After the talk, guests will be invited to tour the atelier, featuring curated spaces of her signature textiles, garments, wallpaper installations, and home objects. Through stories, and shared inspiration, this is a night of discovery and delight, revealing the quiet power of Erica’s vision—and the enduring, personal artistry that defines her collections.
