Natural Perfume Making Workshop with Jessica Mennella of FLWR Napa Valley
“I see scent as a great equalizer and an important, powerful, and direct path to memory and emotion.” — JESSICA MENNELLA
Explore the art of natural perfumery with Jessica Mennella of FLWR Napa Valley. This introductory workshop is built around the Slow Scent® method—a formulation practice developed by renowned perfumer Mandy Aftel—and gives you the foundation and techniques to begin blending in your own way.
Working with 18 botanicals whose scent complexity traces directly to the flowers they come from, you'll develop your own formula over the course of the afternoon. By the end, you'll have created a signature solid natural perfume—made from the formula you built yourself.
What You'll Learn
- The basic structure of Slow Scent® natural perfume formulation
- How to work with 18 botanicals and read their scent complexity
- Blending techniques for building a personal formula
Open to all levels. Whether you are new to natural perfumery or have attended previous workshops, you are welcome.
What You'll Take Home
Your signature solid natural perfume, in a refillable 4 gram FLWR Napa Valley compact — easy to carry and apply throughout the day. Each compact includes in a complimentary Tracey Tanner leather travel pouch.
All materials provided. All ticket sales are final and non-refundable.
