durable handwoven basket made of milulu grass–a reed-like swamp grass–and dyed to a rich black. handmade by women in rural tanzania and named for the city of iringa, iringa baskets are an indispensable utility item in east africa and around the world.

11-12" in diameter  x 12" in height. small variations in size & design are part of what makes each piece uniquely beautiful. if reshaping is necessary, lightly spray basket with water and mold while drying.
