Milled in JG Switzer's design workshop, this pillow is named after the sheep that adorn its face, the long-locked Wensleydale. Felted wool fabric is felted right by the JG Switzer team in their Sebastopol-based workshop.
Made from 100% Shetland wool. The Wensleydale adornment (pieces of raw wool) are hand-sewn to preserve their character. Minor pilling may occur with use and can be treated with a pilling stone or comb.
Measures 20" x 20". Includes insert. Insert is plush 90%/10% duck feather/down and designed to keep its shape.

About JG Switzer
Women owned and operated, all JG SWITZER products are designed, crafted, or finished at their workshop located in West Sonoma County in Northern California. Nestled in a village of artisan makers called The Barlow in Sebastopol, just 45 minutes north of San Francisco, their wool workshop is a retail store, a small showroom, one of their places of making and production, and a creative space where all are welcome.
To create the signature JG SWITZER artisan felted wool fabric, founder Jessica Green pioneered a process called "Painting With Wool", wherein JG SWITZER plays with nature’s palette of plant dyed, undyed, and 20+ types of raw fleeces to create a new form from an old material.
As all painters do, Jessica starts with a wool “canvas.” Her painter’s palette are 20+ local and heritage breed sheep that act as our “paint”. After painting with wool, JG SWITZER run it through a repurposed, industrial felting machine to felt the wool varieties together and non woven textile.
