Hand-stitched natural and black cotton quilt in the Erica Tanov original print, Jacobsen. Inspired by the end papers of vintage books, Jacobsen is our modern, graphic take on the classic stripe.
To make our hand-stitched quilts, the Jacobsen pattern is translated onto cotton fabric using a hand-block printing process. The front and back cotton panels are then hand-sewn together and filled with lightweight cotton batting. Our weavers then begin to meticulously hand-stitch the quilting detail.
Any irregularity in printing should be not be viewed as a defect but rather celebrated as a hallmark of the hand-block printing process used to make this piece.
