Early 20th century Drew & Sons 'En Route' wicker traveling tea basket. Fall-front opening reveals a compact, fitted service for preparing tea while traveling. Inside are a series of portable monogrammed silver-plated boxes, enamel trays, cups, and a kettle and burner.
Interior of case includes a set of:
- 3 gilt rim saucers
- 3 gilt rim cups with rattan handles
- 2 gilt rim trays
- Spirit kettle and burner
- 4 silver-plate boxes
- 1 glass bottle with metal cap
- 1 cylinder silver plate box with lid, containing an interior glass.
Design registry number '121219'.
Case measures 10" h x 13" W x 7" D.
In beautiful antique condition. Please note the fall-front opening does not remain closed on its own. Tea set is best suited as a collectible or decorative object rather than for functional use. Each piece may show subtle signs of age and use commensurate with their history.
