Narrow, elongated Chinese headrest chest with domed lid and original brass hardware. Exterior wrapped in an aged leather with a warm, burnished patina. Surface hand-painted with landscape panels. Interior lined with time-worn paper. Well-suited for storing small objects.
Measures 20" L x 6" T x 5.75" D.
In good antique condition. Interior lining is divided in sections, as documented in photographs. Staining, wear, and tonal variation consistent with age and use. Exterior leather shows areas of scuffs and loss, which only adds to the character of the piece.
