Chinese leather chest from the Republic Period with richly toned mahogany interior, reinforced with time-worn brass corner guards and patinated brass hardware. The deep, lustrous form reveals subtle grain and tonal variation across the surface. The interior offers ample storage. Well-suited at the foot of a bed or in a layered living space.
Measures 27.5” L x 18.5” D x 13.5” H.
In beautiful antique condition. The surface bears traces of time—small scratches, scuffs, worn edges, and chips that reveal layers of age beneath the paint.
