A handwoven Baluch prayer rug, crafted in the tribal regions of eastern Iran or western Afghanistan. This rug features a classic mihrab silhouette with rows of stylized tree motifs set in a warm, faded orange field. The wool pile has softened beautifully with age, giving the rug a rich, lived-in character.
Measures 4'8" L x 2'8" W.
In good antique condition. The orange field shows gentle sun fading, and one small area exhibits pile matting. Both are signs of age that add to the rug’s lived-in patina.
