Alice Wiese is a Northern California-based textile artist whose embroidery explores the interplay of geometry, architecture, and emotion. Using only white thread, she creates intricate, dimensional works that reflect themes of grief, transformation, and resilience. Her pieces draw on weaving and quilting traditions, translating pattern into texture through meditative repetition and subtle shifts in light. Her work has been exhibited locally and internationally, including The Metropolitan Museum of Art in Tokyo, the 2024 Inaugural Northern California Open at MarinMOCA, and the 2023 de Young Open Juried Exhibition.
