Raised in rural Southern Oregon, Syslee Rawlinson's work is rooted in deep reverence for the natural world. Drawn to the textures of plaster, she creates mixed-media works that merge natural materials—clay, pigments, mica, snake shed, and dried plants—into tactile compositions. Her works evoke the slow rhythms of time, inviting a closer look at nature's delicate balance and the beauty in impermanence. Rawlinson lives and works in Oakland.
